TEXAS CHAINSAW MURDER STATEMENT
Responding officer Cpl.Willis Johnson of the  Ross, Texas police department. received a call on the night of 08/18/73 about a girl wandering in a rest area covered in blood and screaming about the loss of her friends. She reported they were all murdered, cut up with a chainsaw by a family of cannibals. The girl, Sally Hardesty Enright was delusional and could not answer the officers questions. She later passed out and has remained in a Texas institution for mental health since that night..
Department of Public Safety Officer, Major Tom Benson unleashed a month long man hunt looking for any survivors or perpetrators of the alleged crime with no results. Many witnesses were questioned and leads were followed but to no avail. Countless reports of missing people from and around that rest area have been reported for years with most cases left unsolved.  The Supreme Court of Texas made demands on the Department of Public Safety to take extraordinary measures to uncover the criminals behind the deaths of the countless number of missing people but there have been no arrests.  No bodies were ever found until twenty years ago during excavation of a building next to the rest area on I-35 on 10/23/93.
Department of Health official Willard Thomas was assigned to investigate the overwhelming stench emulating from the newly excavated site.  He brought in a team of forensic experts after the discovery of many skeletons still with rotting flesh on them that had decomposed to a greasy slime. Months of removing what was left of these corpses began while forensic experts attempted to identify cause of death and identification of these poor tortured souls.  The remains were so gruesome that some reported these were the most disturbing and grisly cases they had experienced in 30 years. It was a difficult task since many body parts were missing and separated. The experts reported that it reminded them of a slaughtering house for cattle as if they had been butchered. Reports determined that some were still barely alive during their torture. It was also reported that many were hung on meat hooks as typical in a slaughtering house.
Fingers found in a bread box prompted lawmen from all over the state to the excavation.
Jaw fragments found at surface level
Eyeglasses found at surface level.
THE CHAINSAW
This chainsaw was discovered in the midst of the pit piled with bodies at the excavation site. After extensive testing was done  which resulted in gruesome findings of the following: DNA from many subjects; bone fragments; human hair; brain and intestine particles, and clothing fibers. The saw had been dulled from many uses, which most likely prompted the murder suspect to discard it in the pit to hide evidence.
Death by chainsaw continues to haunt Texas.
